Marijuana Addiction

QUESTION:

My son is 19 and has been struggling with marijuana for about 4 years.  The law has caught up with him.  He wants to quit but hasn't been able to. Will Hypnosis work for him?  I know he wants to change.

ANSWER:

Yes, hypnosis can help him.  It helps with all kinds of addictions and addictive habits, including smoking.  However, he is old enough to call for information and make his own appointment, because, no matter how much parents are concerned and think they know their child’s wishes, it is still the child (in this case, a young adult) who must want the change and want to go to the hypnotherapist for it.  If he is undecided he can go to my website and read up on hypnosis, or give me a call.  One sure thing is that no matter who the hypnotherapist, no method can make your son do anything he is not truly ready to do.  Hypnosis is not a magic pill or wand.  The hypnotherapist is a guide who is experienced in helping clients into their own deeper resources to reach their goals.  He or she cannot force any person to change if they are not really ready or willing to change.
