Help with General Stress

Question
I don't have any really serious problems; I just have more stress than I know what to do with. How can hypnosis help with that?

Answer
It's very important to learn how to handle constant stress before you reach the "burn-out" stage, and physical problems develop. Every time you are in a stressful situation your body responds with its "fight or flight" response. All kinds of chemicals and hormones are released to help you deal with what seems like a crisis situation to that body. If you have constant stress, with little let-up, after awhile the glands holding those chemicals do not have time to recover, and soon your body has nothing left with which to "fight." The immune system can no longer cope adequately. A good hypnotherapist can use techniques that help you learn how to automatically relax when you are under pressure. You can learn these with the therapist, and transfer them to your own daily life. The hypnotherapist gives your unconscious/subconscious mind encouraging suggestions that help you to respond more easily to difficult situations. Here's what one of my own client's had to say about how they were able to manage stress from the time we began our sessions together: "When I started coming to you my blood pressure was sky high. It is now down to normal. I am able to cope with issues in our family in such a more helpful way. I no longer have headaches. I am comfortable now."
