Biting Fingernails

Question
My mom told me when I was little that I needed to stop biting my nails or they'd be all ratty when I was 30. Well, now I'm going to be 30 soon and I'm still biting strong! Everything else about my appearance is attractive except my hands - they're hideous! My problem's strictly about looks and finding a mate; I actually enjoy this habit! I feel hypnosis is my last hope, because for 28 years nothing else has seemed to work. Thanks for your insight.

Answer
I've helped people stop biting nails and other such habits, such as picking at skin, pulling out eyebrows and hair, and the like. They have quit successfully with hypnosis. I feel that the best way to get rid of the problem for good is to get to the source of why you bite your nails. So, instead of going to a hypnotherapist who just gives positive suggestions, locate one in your area who knows how to get to the source of problems and to release them. I would like to add, however, that the key phrase in your question is, "I actually enjoy this habit!" Be aware that hypnosis doesn't force something upon you. You have to want the change, or it just won't happen, no matter how much hypnosis is used.
