Abuse Resulting in Anger & Depression

Would it be of benefit to me to be hypnotized to go back to my childhood when I was sexually abused? I feel a lot of anger and depression and I don't know where it is all coming from. I don't remember a lot of what happened in my childhood but I do want to get to the bottom of what is going on with me. I don't know if I can even give up control of me to actually be hypnotized.

If you feel that it may lie at the heart of you feeling bad about yourself, then, of course, going to a hypnotherapist who specializes in helping people heal the past would be of advantage to you. I would suggest it is important that the hypnotherapist also be a counselor, due to the increased methods and experience that would be available for your healing. Since you are female and your abuse has come from a male, then I would recommend you locate a female therapist, in order that you feel the most comfortable.
