"LOST" TAGALOG
I had an interesting experience with an attempt to retrieve a client's "lost" Tagalog, a language she was fluent in as a child in the Philippines. In the first (and only) session we had together, an age regression revealed tremendous hatred for her father. The primary person she spoke Tagalog with as a child was her father. The child in our regression refused to speak Tagalog because she carried so much anger toward her father. At the end of the session, I suggested that until the client come to terms with her negative feelings for her father, her subconscious would "protect" her from the link retrieving their shared language would revive. I suggested that she either come back for more hypnotherapy or explore the issue in psychotherapy.
