Obsession re: Swallowing

JUNE QUESTION:

Hi Del, I have a client who has obsessive thoughts of swallowing all the time; and is having a hard time with life as her thoughts take up so much of her time and energy. Do you have suggestions, especially regarding any of your scripts that would be useful to me in this matter?

ANSWER:

Thanks for writing. You’ll find some scripts in Great Escapes, Volumes III and VI, which I believe you have purchased (or as single scripts on my web site e-store) that may be helpful to your client. Though it might seem strange, you could adapt the script under Addictions called, “Choosing to Release Old Habits and Attitudes”, to this situation. The “Alice in Wonderland” process under Physical Health could be used affectively in going into that area to have the client describe what’s going on, and then finding a way to clear it, while under hypnosis.  Scripts about pain control could be adapted for this obsession. Even though pain is not involved, the experience of it is what you would tackle.  If he or she were my client, the most important and first script I would adapt for use is the Problem-Solution Finding Process (GE Vol. III or single script) in which you encourage the deeper mind to seek out the imprints causing this problem and change them to your client’s current needs. Hope those are helpful.  Good luck with this, and let me know how your client does.
