DEAR DEL,
Dear Del, I have been asked about working with women who have had Chemo for breast cancer, and are now suffering very badly with hot flushes. Any advice will be much appreciated. Many thanks
ANSWER:
First, try a problem-solving technique that asks the deeper mind to seek out and remove whatever imprints are causing the flushes, and then changing them to what she now needs.
Secondly, use some healing suggestions, such as suggesting to her any of the following, to use while she is hypnotized:
-- To deal with the heat, teach her to imagine herself in an area with lots of snow, for instance taking a trip to Alaska, seeing the mountains and icebergs, walking on floes, etc.
--Have her Imagine a thermometer where she has the gauge on the highest heat she feels, with the ability to bring down the level to what is more comfortable.
A third method is to have her could describe the heat - its color and shape, and where she feels it most; then, change the size and color (for instance, from large to small, and red to blue or green); and then have her describe how she feels, and which feeling she prefers.
Also, she could move the heat area, or change it’s intensity by moving it into one of her fingers, or the like.
Some of these probably will trigger your own imagination regarding other possibilities. Good luck.
