Child being Bullied

DEAR DEL,
I am writing for information on hypnosis for my child. For the last 12 months she hasn't attended school She is 10 years old and has been diagnosed with school phobia due to bullying in her previous school, for which I regret taking her out of.
ANSWER:
Why would you regret taking your child out of a school where she's received bullying? Personally, I think you were smart to remove her from it, and to give her a chance for a fresh start where no one knows her.
The problem isn’t the new school, of course, it’s the fact that she retains the imprints of the initial bullying and is afraid she’ll face it again. I do believe that a sensitive hypnotherapist could certainly release the trauma of that experience and help her to once again enjoy school. Whoever you contact should know how to get at those initial imprints, and know how help the client let go of them. The therapist also would help build her self-esteem so she won't get bullied at the new school.
