Marriage Problems

QUESTION

My husband and I have recently been contemplating trying hypnosis to help us through the most difficult time we have ever had in our marriage. We feel this could be an answer to help us. We are already both going to counseling and find it helpful, but also feel we still are having so much pain and at times it's almost more than we can cope with. We were wondering if hypnosis might free us of that pain and stress so that we can get on with our marriage and have a successful recovery.

ANSWER

Let me assure you that hypnosis can be especially beneficial in handling the kinds of concerns you have.  And, it certainly can speed up the counseling process a lot, for both of you. It’s the most effective tool I know of for making major, positive changes in individuals and in marriages.  I work only an individual basis, but there are good couple’s counselors available, especially if any of them use hypnotic methods.

Personally, I work with the individual husband and/or wife to seek out what habits have developed that stir up trouble between them as a couple. Hypnosis helps bring about calmness, handles stressfulness, goes to the source of an individual’s problem, releases a person from past issues that might be affecting the marriage, and other things that may have caused the developing of improper or ineffective communication.
